Buenas noches señores del foro: Tengo un Compaq Presario SR5317LA, tengo Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bits, compre un disco duro portátil marca Samsung de 500 Gbs, grabe unos archivos, me presento un error, puse a escanear el disco duro con el Microsoft Security Essentials, analizo todo el disco y al final del análisis me presenta 2 virus a limpiar, me aparece el botón Limpiar el equipo, le doy clic, y aparece una barra que me indica el proceso, esta barra se queda limpiando pero nunca termina, deje esto así casi 7 horas y nunca terminó. Que me indica que no haya terminado? Como soluciono esto pues el Security Essentials debería limpiar estos 2 virus. O que puedo hacer …

I have MSE on all my computers. However, each computer has a different virus update version. Why is that? Would anyone know? But, when I check MSE for update, each computer says I have the latest MSE version update. Suppsedly, the newest update is 1.121.1179 My notebook has 1.121.1154 (WinXP) Desktop 1.121.1131 (WinXP) Vista 1.121.1095 Each one says it is the latest update. Continue reading...

Is there a way of performing an unattended join using the serial number of the computer as the computer name? i have used MySysprep2 for years but i would like to not have to use a third party tool to do this. it would also be nice if (like in XP) i could have it prompt for a computer name, but have it auto-populate with the serial number of the machine, this would allow our techs to edit the name if needed. As I know MSE updates it's malware definitions everyday approx. 3 days everyday. Now I checked for updates via Microsoft Update it says no updates avalaible. I also checked updates via MSE still same it's says Up-to-date. When I go here http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Definitions/ADL.aspx the malware definition is 1.121.1154.0 My current MSE definition update is 1.121.1131.0 Is there a problem in MSE or something else? I get long running scrip on Yahoo. It takes for ever to get out. I have to Ctrl/Alt Delete to end task or I have to shut off power to my lap-top and start again. It never used to be like this. I have gone to MSFT FIXit and that has not worked. I have gone to the upper right corner to the wheel and to Safety and there is nothing checked. Hi, i have a problem with a syspreped windows 7 image where it will not install the keyboard (or mouse) driver if they are inserted after the computer has booted into mini-setup. keep in mind that if the keyboard is plugged in before mini-setup runs then it works fine (this is not a solution for my situation though). here is a more detailed explination. If the USB keyboard is not present during the original Plug and Play detection process, when a computer boots into mini-Setup after Sysprep is used, the USB keyboard is not correctly set up and will not function. I had heard from the Staples computer guy of all people, as well as son's best friend computer wiz friend, to not waste the money on buying Norton, just to use MS Security Essentials for my AV needs. Saying that Sec. Essentials is just as good (if not better) than Norton & it's free. The only thing I'll be missing is the handy little feature where it identifies if websites are recommended or not with a "good" or green check mark. (I did like that feature). But otherwise he mentioned it doesn't do anything that Sec. Essentials won't do & MS Sec Essentials is running updates on new viruses daily. MSE has quarantine one of my files and I don't agree with that decision! I want it back, but how do I do that? The help says, hat I need to log in as Administrator and then the Allow-option should be visible. However, I *AM* the Administrator but I still don't see that option. So, how do I allow this file?
