Why does MSE says you haven't run a full scan in awhile and one was conducted less then 18 hours before and took 6 hours to do ???? I'm running Security Essentials Beta Version 4.0.1512.0. All of a sudden Security Essential's icon turns orange saying "You haven't run a scan on your PC for a while. This could put your PC at risk." Recently MSE has found two versions of Alureon on my PC and removed them. I don't install anything when asked or unknown and don't open attachments unless I'm absolutely certain it's what it says it is, Have a HW Firewall, SW Firewall in Win 7 turned on, running MSE and Defender obviously. Oh and I'm running 64 bit version, which until recently has been one more buffer to potential infection. I am very carefull about what I do yet I get these reports. Hi, I am facing an issue with accessing FTP in IE8 browser. In IE6 I used to access any FTP site and then through explorer, I can copy and paste files directly to and from FTP site. Now after moving to windows 7 and IE8, if I have to upload any file from my computer explorer to FTP site, I am not able to copy and paste, I have to click on drop menu of browser and select FTP site and then I am able to access and paste the files. That means it is not allowing me to directly copy and paste from explorer window which was possible in IE6 and xp. I have a "Cannot ReInstall XP Pro" on my HP pavilion after I tried windows 8(and hated it). I have a HP with AMD dual core, 2gig ddr that I cannot get XP to reinstall. After the second worse 2 hours of my computer life with Windows 8(the other was ME way back when). I scrubbed the HD with drive scrubber to make a Clean install of my XP recovery discs. This lasted 4-5 hours each time before my pc would go back screen while rebooting(complet with xp logo and curser) and not restart. I recently had to reinstall windows 7 after chkdks corrupted my registry. At the time I was using WLM. I eventually restored all my data and 12 years of emails from external devices but ended up with many duplicates in some 400+ folders, each has a few hundred emails. I then transferred the messages to outlook 2010 as there are some utilities to delete duplicates. But to achieve this, I need to merge the emails in the 400 storage folders inside 12 pst data files into 1 or 2 folders. I would like to know if there is a way to merge the emails of multiple folders into a single folder? I have tried drag and drop on a couple of folders but that will take forever. Continue r…

My Father answered an email claiming to be hotmail and demanding information or the account will be closed. Soon emails were sent from his account claiming he had been robbed and asking for help. He contacted hotmail and got back in to his account with a new password. The next day he tried to access his account and was again blocked. Does he have a virus? How can we get back into his account?
