Im using IE 8 and when we log onto IE we are able to see sites but when we go click a link it will not show pop up and we have pop blocking set to off. We get error on page. This a the message. I have never had this problem before and usually i can fix any problem I have, however when i was in the middle of playing a game, the computer randomly and automatically shut down. If the fact that it shut down out of the blue without the command wasnt enough, the screen flashed the "Blue screen" for about 5 seconds before shutting down completely. I tried to reboot it but to no avail. The big "E" with the F2 setup prompt is all that appears before a blank black screen with a flashing cursor line at the top left corner... then it stays like that. Have 2 computers running Windows 7, both are connected via router to DSL. Printer is connected to computer 1 via USB. Can't get computers to see each other - can't send a print job from computer 2 to computer 1's printer. Both try to create a homegroup as if the other wasn't there. Even after creating a homegroup on computer 1, computer doesn't show a "join" opportunity, only presents an oportunity to create a homegroup. This use to work before I upgraded to Windws 7 last week. As stated in the subject, I get an "Error Code 0x800700D - the data is invalid" when I try to activate Windows 7. I have read all of the previous Windows 7 Activation error threads, and don't find anything I haven't tried. I have returned to Microsoft and obtained a new key, and used it for the "Change Product Key," with the same result. I copy/pasted the key directly from the MS website, so I know there was no confusion or mistyping of similar characters/numbers. I can't recall 100%, but am pretty sure I entered the original key given to me by MS on the download page upon install. I turn on the computer, and it seems to do it normally, and then all of the icons vanish along with the start bar, I can just see the background image. Then internet explorer (not default browser) and my computer automatically open. I can't return to the normal screen. How do I fix this? Hi, I tried to configure (for all zones) the security logon settings for user authentication (flag 1A00 - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/182569). I want that for any site/proxy that requires authentication (user/password) IE will prompt it ALWAYS. I have configured a manual proxy in the settings that uses authentication. However, no authentication is prompt, never. I have cleaned the history/cache etc.. One thing to notice (maybe related), my machine is on a specific domain (e.g. MyDomain) and the manual proxy is on the same domain. I suspect that the authentication to my machine (via RDP) was a sufficient for not prompting the authentication further.I however expe…
