Given: An HTTPWebRequest written in C#. The response is received as a stream and then passed to Webbrowser as NavigateToStream. Why doesn't the Javascript get exectued and any of the subseuqeunt gets for images etc. The webbrowser shows the page but is essentially just the shell of the page. Windows consumer preview with IE10 cannot do certificate web enroll (certsrv) from a Win2003 server. When switching on my pc, MSE almost always detects a threat (Trojan:DOS/Sinowal.Q). I then follow the recommended action and "clean" the threat. The little green ticked box then shows that the computer status is protected. All of this also happens when I disconnect from the internet, so I assume that MSE isn't totally removing this threat and something is still in the pc somewhere that causes the threat to re-emerge at the next boot-up. I upgraded my computer from Vista ultimate to Windows 7 professional about two years ago. I had added a new hard drive to my computer at that time and labeled it the C drive. I got a great deal on Windows 7 professional upgrade and thought that I did a clean install on the new CD drive leaving Vista on the old drive which I relabeled drive I. As I said, everything worked great though the computer would show a dual-boot option upon startup. About two months ago I decided to remove Vista because I no longer needed it and could use the hard drive space for other programs. I have tried to download Security Essentials but receive a prompt the states "downloading this program could be harmful to you computer". I theorize that we are getting very close to a final release of Microsoft Security Essentials v4. I feel this way, firstly because they have polished the GUI a bit by refining the language of the Microsoft Active Protection System (MAPS), abbreviated it to save space, and most importantly: they have brought back Default Actions, which exceeded my expectations. I am ecstatic and wish to thank the development team and everyone else on these forums that helped by voicing your opinion. My ISP informed me that I had a DNSChanger virus. The ISP help desk identified that the virus had changed by router's DNS server to "Rogue" servers identified by an FBI website. He helped me reset those, but said the virus that did it is still on my computer. He said that evidence of the virus is slowing down of IE, which is true. (It happened after an ITunes update.) He suggested that MS Security Essentials, which I have been running for a long time, was not good enough, and to try another. I have downloaded, updated, and run Malwarebytes, and it found nothing. Pop-up tells me to download and run Windows Defender Offline Beta (WDO). I'm using a machine running Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit. I downloaded the software on the same machine since I don't have another computer. Tried to boot from CD drive as directed (hit F12 on start up, then select CD as boot option) but it seems to skip over this request and boot as usual. Tried to turn on Data Execute Except for the mpam-fex64.exe program but it wouldn't work. Not sure if I need to download WDO on a different machine to get it to work or if there's a way to get the WDO to boot as is. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Continue reading...

i create an answer file to deploy windows 7, i insert the command line to activate windowsi after i run sysprep. only the pc that i run sysprep get activated when deploy my image using ghost 11.5, those pc do not get activated.. i do not want to use a kms. Is there another way to get these pc activated without kms or going to my computer/properties to activate them one by one. i'm using mak . or can i create a script or bach file to activate those pc. My Father answered an email claiming to be hotmail and demanding information or the account will be closed. Soon emails were sent from his account claiming he had been robbed and asking for help. He contacted hotmail and got back in to his account with a new password. The next day he tried to access his account and was again blocked. Does he have a virus? How can we get back into his account? I have a customer that is having an issue with the differences between IE9 and IE8. They are streaming a html document to the browser that doesn't have proper tags like html or body or any mime type. In IE8 it prompts them to open or save the file. In IE9 it only prompts them to Save. They want the option to Open it.
