I don't usually have problems running sysprep, but the first time I ran it on a Windows 7 (BETA Ultimate 32bit) PC I received an error that Sysprep could not continue and was halted. I went to c:\windows\system32\sysprep\panther and opened the setuperr.log file. (Actually, Windows won't let you open this file (!) so copy it out of this directory, then open it.) There was not much in the file, just a few lines referencing drmv2clt.dll. 2009-04-20 13:37:55, Error [0x0f0082] SYSPRP LaunchDll:Failure occurred while executing 'drmv2clt.dll,Sysprep', returned error code -2147024864[gle=0x00000020] 2009-04-20 13:37:55, Error [0x0f0070] SYSPRP RunExternalDlls:A…

The first time in a Windows logon session that a user opens an MS Office document using a link on our intranet in IE9 we receive the following dialog: The document will not open until this dialog is either cancelled by the user, or it closes of it's own accord. Which can take minutes. The kind or version of Office document does not seem to matter. Our users are using Office 2010. Does anyone know how to make this go away? Continue reading...

Hi at my place of work we would like to set up a calendar that all staff can have access to and add appoitments. Currently we use an exchange server 2003 but it is going to be updated but not sure what server it will be. Our email system is outlook web access and I was hoping we could use the calendar in that to set up appoitments etc.

I normally use another browser (Google Chrome) but need to use Internet Explorer for a particular online banking service. This service requires a Java applet. I have the current Java environment (as at 21.3.12), SE 6 Update 31. Java works in Chrome but does not work in IE8 or IE9. I have un-installed and re-installed Java several times, tried going back to IE8, turned off ActiveX filtering, confirmed Java scripting is on, checked add-ins are managed correctly and so on and so on, without success. Given Java works it is not a Java issue but must be an IE issue. Are there any additional steps or diagnostics I can run to try to identify the problem as I need this to be r…

Up until a month ago IE8 was working fine on my Windows 2003 server – which I use as a development machine - but something is now affecting the performance of IE8 making it almost unusable, and forcing me reluctantly to use other browsers such as Chrome. Perhaps someone can make sense of it all? For example: (a) Google’s predictive search drop down causes IE8 to almost freeze up, particularly if the backspace key is used to make corrections (b) right clicking over a page link can often take half a minute before the right-click menu appears © moving through IE8 page tabs is very slow - or the tab refresh is very slow. Task Manager indicates high CPU usage, so IE8 is busy…

Hi, I'm using ConfigMgr 2007 R2 (SP3) to deploy our Windows 7 64-Bit Images and have been successful in applying DaRT in 'Bare-metal' deployments (outside of WinPE) but unsuccessful when trying to install same in a 'Refresh' scenario (Win7-Win7 using USMT hardlinking). The WinRE.wim file is successfully copied to the hidden (i assign a drive letter to it using a diskpart script) partition (which also acts as the Bitlocker partition) but when i try to run the 'reagentc.exe /enable' option in the Task Sequence, i get the following error message: REAGENTC.EXE: Operation failed: 5 Access is denied. Failed to run the action: Enable DaRT WIM as Windows RE. Access is denied…
