Re MS Security Essentials. Downloaded, and b4 installing, I view the digital signatures. Certificate Information: issued to Microsoft Corporation, Issued by: Microsoft Code Signing PCA, Valid from 7/19/2010, to 10/19/2011. I am not extremely knowledgeable about certificates, so please correct me if my assumption is wrong. Valid from/to - since today is after 10/19/2011, does this not mean the this certificate is not valid? If that is not what this means, it is very confusing. Problem upgrading Vista Business 32-bit to Windows 7 Pro SP1 Clean install is NOT an option. I have irreplaceable, mission critical apps installed. . . environment: Box is a Dell XPS 400 that was upgraded from XP to Vista. Hi, I've been trying to install the RC1 version and get the message shown in the title after the install starts. I have searched the forums and have tried the various suggestions: downloading and reburning the iso image at least 5 times, at different speeds and on different media, limiting the boot device options. I use ImgBurn to burn the image and the verify of the disk shows no errors. I have tried booting from either of the LiteOn SATA Drives in the system I am running an Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe mobo with 2G of ram and an AMD X2 5600+, 3x500G and 1 TB SATA HDs. Hi, I have been browsing threads that treat a problem similar to the one I am about to describe i've tried the solutions these threads explain but have not gotten adequate results. The message I've recieved upon clicking the red security center shield is the following: "An exception has ocurred while trying to execute "Shell32.dll, Control_RunDLL wscui.cpl" So far, I've uninstalled and re-installed SP3, copied wscui.cpl from other computers onto mine, ran multiple malware detection softwares, but to no result. I was infected with the nasty trojan last night. I thought I was installing a different program, and once I clicked on the extracted .exe file, that was it, the file dissapeared in front of my eyes and the infection started. Win32 / SirefefAA . There does not seem to be an IE9 (non-BETA) forum yet, so I will post here. Anyone else having stability issues with IE9? I have been using IE9 from the BETAs through the RC and then the RTM. I was hoping the regular IE9 crashes ("Internet Explorer has Stopped Working...") would go away with the RTM, but they have actually become worse ! I am using Win7 Ultimate SP1 64bit, and use the 32bit version of IE (although the 64bit version is installed). My Reliability Monitor shows the IE9 application errors almost every day, sometimes more than once a day. I am told that some standard virus are removed by MSE but all new viruses keep on coming which are not removed by MSE. Is it true?
