This is the version that can target "Tango" class devices (as well as all Windows Phone handsets to date). Will this be the final major release of Microsoft’s Silverlight-based Windows Phone development tools? Continue reading...

I've only successfully completed this once using this article to configure an Exch2003 mlbx & a Exch2010 mlbx under one Outlook 2010 profile: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee815819.aspx Following the article, it looks like this can ONLY be done during setup using the OCT tool. Is that accurate or can it still be added later from Control Panel - Mail like other regular profiles? Thank you... Continue reading...

I reported another hacking incident to Yahoo a few days ago (because I uncovered their email address as being Yahoo). Have no idea if it is the same individual. They somehow were diverting my emails to themselves both hotmail and gmail. Average 30-40 emails a day with both accounts and all of a sudden none. I am getting paranoid about using the Internet. What do I need to do? I only know about the request for money referred in the "Title caption" because my friend called me Saturday on my cell phone and asked what I was doing in Cyprus. The latest Windows Defender (WD) scan that I ran the evening of March 25, 2012 reported that PWS:win32/ldpinch.bl was malware. WD removed it from my disk. Here is the message: Category: Password Stealer Description: This program is dangerous and captures user passwords. Advice: Remove this software immediately. Resources: file: E:\Software\MetaStock\Ver 10.0\_user1.cab->(ishld#0013)->(Upack) file: E:\Software\MetaStock\Ver 10.0\_user1.cab->(ishld#0012)->(Upack) containerfile: E:\Software\MetaStock\Ver 10.0\_user1.cab The file originally came with a copy of MetaStock version 10.0 that I bought from Equis several years ago. IE10 is a new browsing experience built in lockstep with Windows 8 to give you all the advantages that Metro style applications offer. We built that experience by extending IE’s underlying architecture to provide a fast, fully hardware accelerated browsing engine with strong security and support for HTML5 and other Web standards. IE10 also includes a desktop experience for when you are using desktop tools and wish to continue using them in your existing workflows. Following last September’s release of the Windows 8 Developer Preview, we heard a lot about giving you the option to control which experience of Internet Explorer—Metro style or on the desktop —to launch when …

Trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on an ASUS M5A97 mobo with AMD SB850 RAID, two WD 750GB drives configured as RAID 0. No drives are recognized by W7 install, so I choose Load Drivers. I put the drivers on a USB stick. Install finds the drivers there, starts loading them, then comes back with "Installing an unsigned 64 bit driver is not supported and may result in an unstable Windows installation." I downloaded the latest drivers from ASUS website which are WHQL certified (as are the one's on the motherboard disk). I saw other posts that recommend clicking Repair instead of Install, but I don't see where that option is. All I am given as options are Upgrade or Inst…

By Paul Thurrott For the past few months, Microsoft has been holding impromptu "Smoked by Windows Phone" competitions at industry events and its retail stores, challenging users of other smart phones to take on the efficiency of Windows Phone. It’s been an amazingly successful campaign for Microsoft for a simple reason: Windows Phone really is faster at day to day tasks. But now some are claiming that in a single challenge out of the hundreds Microsoft has so far held, the software giant cheated. Continue reading...

Hi All, I am Arun, currently working as SysAdmin. In our network there are both desktops and laptops. But I am facing issue with the laptops users. The issue is as follows, most of the user call me and say that they have forgot their AD password and help them to reset it. I will reset it through AD, but the problem is all desktop users connected to the LAN are able to log in, but the laptop users using wifi cannot log in with their new password. They are logging in using the old password to the system, but they are accessing their outlook mail using new password. Once they are connected to the LAN the new password is reflected to their system also. Is there any way to…

I want to use IE9 but.... the first problem is that I am getting a constant error msg for a current update. All the threads are saying that I need to uninstall IE9 and reinstall it. I have found the IE9 program under the updates section and have faithfully pressed the Uninstall button but constantly get an error message that leaves the program in tact. I have found the threads that give this long command to run on the command prompt but still no joy. At the end of the day, I wish Microsoft would just pull this update and send us a new one that works Continue reading...
