I recently had to reboot my pc from scratch, and i updated WMP 10 to WMP 11 and now when i put cd's in to rip it doesn't update the media info as its ripping after inserting a disc as it did previously. I have all the appropriate boxes checked and still nothing, and i have cable internet and its always on. I use firefox over IE, but i did previously as well. Any reason or way i can fix this? I am trying to create an Unattended install of Windows 7 for about 3000 machines. I need the system on first start up to ask for a computer name, as they are building and room dependent, and then just join the Domain. My problem is that I can't get the answer file to work without trying to get it to ask for a name and auto join our domain. It always just say, "Can not finish install. Reboot to finish" or something like that. This is my first time trying to do this and nothing seems to be working properly. I have followed a few walkthroughs and still it fails. I have been banging my head against a wall for over a week now. I have 3 models of Dells: Optiplex 380, Optiplex 390, and Latitude E5420 that are all giving me issues. I have a captured Windows 7 .wim that I customized and is working on other machines. When I try to push the image to these machines, I get an error of "Windows Could not complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, restart the installation." I have used this same image on a Dell Optiplex 360 and had no issues. We have a user that has five updates not installing on her machine that involve Microsoft .net 4. These patches were pushed out via WSUS. I have tried to download them manually and install them but they just rollback. I used the Microsoft Fixit program for WSUS patches and .net patches not installing but that didn't seem to help. any ideas of why these are not installing and how i can get them to install? if not, can i hide them if necessary? I tried imaging a machine using imagex it seems to fail because of a missing file "the system cannot find the file specified" I can boot into the system and traverse to the file the system cannot find. I keep getting error messages like these: error code - STOP:0x0000008E. Any suggestions? Also, most times that I connect remotely to my office computer from home, I am either not able to do so, or after I am able and then disconnect later, I am no longer able to reconnect afterwards.
