I have the issue that started yesterday all of the sudden after tech support remotely connected to my pc to. I had to allow them to do so. Maybe that triggered that MSE began to turn off automatically. Every time I start my computer, I had to turn it on manually. I have been running it since July 2011 with no issues. Hello, After searching the Web I see that this is a common issue, but I couldn't find the solution yet that worked for me. I'm running IE 9 on Windows 7 64 bit. The problem started after I upgraded from IE 8 to 9. If the site doesn't respond quickly, the IE displays the message that the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". Troubleshooting connection doesn't do any good. The other browsers like Firefox don't have this problem, so for specific sites I have to use Firefox. This is definitely a timeout issue, only sites that are not responding within a few seconds are affected. How to fix this? Can I increase he timeout for IE? I've tried to use compatibility …

I am building an image to deploy Windows 7 Enterprise Edition to our computers. I have built the image on an HP DC 5700 Small Form Factor computer. The installation goes fine. I am able to customize the user environment for the administrative user I created during install. I use ImageX to capture an image of the machine before running sysprep. I can load that image back onto the computer with no problem. The problem occurs when I run Sysprep. I've tried to install with a disc, from a usb all that jazz, everytime I go through 'Windows activated setup is copying temporary files...' then 'Window activated setup is starting...' then I get the same error 'Windows could not retrieve information about the discs on the computer. For starters, I've had a really hard time attempting to get my Zebra ZP-500 USB Label Printer to work. I can get the drivers installed, but it never prints anything. I have no idea if that is related to this, but I tried doing the System Readiness Tool, etc. that Microsoft says to try, and although the tools installed correctly, after a reboot, SP1 did not. We run Office on a terminal server and have historically restricted access to the Office programs using security groups. Only users in our "Office" security group can access the programs from the start menu and the executables. This helps us enforce our licensing for Office. Specifically we do the following: 1. Restrict the start menu "Microsoft Office" folder to "Office" users. 2. Restrict the Excel.exe, Winword.exe, etc. programs to the "Office" users.
