I have windows XP (2004) A security update has made many attempts to install but fails to completely install. The system is running Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit. The problem is that the screen saver is not kicking in. I tried both the "Photos" and "Bubbles" screen savers. Neither worked. The system is up to date. There is not any indication that the mouse is creeping. The mouse is a Microsoft Wireless Laser 6000. I had Office 2010 beta running on Windows 7. At one point, I opened a file from a SharePoint site by mistake. I got the Beta to stop asking me about logging into this SharePoint site. Last week, I un-installed the beta and installed the released version of Office 2010. Now, when I have any documents opened in either Word or Excel, I am being asked to log into the old SharePoint site - every 5 minutes. The only place I have been able to find anything related to SharePoint is under Outlook, file, info, account settings. The old site was listed under SharePoint lists - I deleted that. There was also a Data File that had the SharePoint site as the location …

Hi, set path=c:\install c:\install\aclient.exe c:\install\aclient.inp -silent -install -scriptedinstall c:\install\jre-6u31-windows-i586-s.exe /s c:\install\pca.cmd Line 3 was an addition to a pre-existing setupcomplete.cmd file that has been use for a while and worked quite well. I disabled my McAffee virus scan and downloaded Security Essentials on a Dell computer running XP. About 10 minutes after the initial install, I suddenly was unable to access my wireless internet. IE8 just comes up with an unable to connect. I ran diagnostics and it looks as though nothing is going out the TCP/IP port. I get a few packets at startup, but nothing afterword. I tried to reboot in safe mode, but that option is blocked as well. The computer boots and opens into XP, programs can run, but no Internet. Can someone give me a solution? Thank you! What is going on with MSE. After I run a scan, it tells me I haven't run a scan. When I try to manually update, the process stops seconds before it fini9shes with an error message that says it can't update due to connectivity or internet issues. Everytime I open up my explorer it says there was an error. Why? And every time it is closed it doe the same thing. Windows Help suggested the problem might be a conflict after the Windows Essential install. After installing Windows Security Essentials Windows Defender did turn off. Which security feature is better in your opinion for Windows Vista 64 Home Premium version 6? Should I uninstall Essentials or just leave it alone?
