Just made a New computer didn't have video card in it sleep worked fine. No problem from it nothing. Always came back from mouse moving and never had to restart it. Bought a NVGV Gtx Geforce 550ti Video card. Now after sleep i have to completely restart computer and always comes up wanting me to start up with Safe Mode. hi I am trying to setup my outlook 2010 to a legacy ldap DB (running on openldap), I have setup the contact entry and I can do searchs, but every time it trys to search it comes back with an error (ldap error), and no more information on the error ! But I do get entries back. I have checked on the ldap server side and no issues there, how do I debug this ? any one else had this issue ? I keep trying to redownload Adobe reader but it won't download, says the Adobe reader - install_reader10_en_gtbp_chra_aih.exe contained a virus and was deleted. Ran MSE scan and did not say any files were infected. How do I resolve this problem, I restored my computer back to an earlier date, but I guess it wasn't far enough. I split my primary hard drive into two partitions (volumes) to try out Linux. OK, I tried it, didn't like it, removed it. I've used Disk Manager to delete the Linux half of the hard drive and couldn't extend the boot drive (C:) to utilize the empty space. So I've assigned it a drive letter and reformatted the extra space into a new NTFS "drive" volume and still cannot extend C: to use the extra space. So how do I get these two drives back into 1? I have 2 partitions on my 160GB disk, 21 and 128GB. That was not by my design, rather Win2000Pro did it recently when I formatted the new disk. When installing Windows 7 on that disk this evening, presumably overwriting W2k, I put W7 on the smaller partition. 12 GB are left on it. That partition is labeled drive C: The other has no designation, but somehow it has 7 GB of material on it. How do I expand that small partition to encompass the whole disk? I see how to Shrink either one in Disk Managment, but the Expand option is grayed out. I have a small business server 2011 domain, and it's working fine. One user seemed to be fine, and then I wanted to set the user up on another pc, so I created and account for him and logged on. There seems to be some problem because during setup it tells me that it ispersonalizing settings (setting up browser preferences and media preferences and so on), but after a long time, it never gets to making the start menu tool bar. Therefore I cannot work in the user's profile , even though this user's profile is working normally on all other domain computers where it has an account. we have 6 pcs in a network, do we have to totally uninstall nortan and avg, to make sure that MSE runs properly? we are having inermitant problems only when one person goes onto google maps or google earth and there are a people on network, seems like a dsl issue or ip address issue to me, but one IT guy came in last week and said it was security problem, the 2 or 3 causing it. if we do can we get norton back for free without paying for it again, if we try to uninstall and it doesnt work? norton and avg are not running, to the best of my knowledge, or when this happens again, how do we tell what security is running or multiple applications? i dont know what beta or not…

Hello - I have seen this issue raised a number of times here and elsewhere over several years without a definitive solution. Thought I would try my hand! I used Windows Easy Transfer to save user data to an external hard drive prior to re-installing Windows 7 from scratch on the same hardware and using the same operating system, Windows 7 Home 32-bit. No user accounts had passwords. No password on the WET file. User data was successfully restored using WET. Just installed Office 2010. I have changed the defaults for both Word and Excel. I have asked both to save for all documents. I have just installed Seagate Barracuda 3TB internal SATA drive for extra storage. The Bios and the device manager recognize the disk, but disk manager does not. I can not read or format the disk.
