I just rebuilt HP Pavilion dv7-4285dx with Windows 7 64 Bit, after receiving "no boot device, reinstall OS" message on booting the computer. Tried to use HP Recovery Manager but to no avail. Removed hdd and tried to acess on another 7/ 64bit machine which initially recocgnized the drive and I was able to save the users data to an external USB device but after disconnecting that ext. drv the host machine started erratic behavior and force shut down necessary.came up with the "device install failure" msg. When Outlook downloads emails from Sky server they disappear and are not shown in the inbox. I have a Dell Optiplex 790 with Windows 7 Professional SP1, 32bit. I created a generic user when the system was installed. I later changed the name of the user from the Control Panel> User Accounts and selected Change account name. When I login to the computer it accepts the changed user name and password. If I login remotely via Remote Desktop I have to use the Old user name. If I go to Remote Desktop settings the new user name does not appear in the list of users that are allowed to connect to Remote Desktop. Why is this happening and how do I fix it? I've got 75 users running Windows XP SP3. After the DST change over on 3/8/2009 the System Clock for these users is running one hour AHEAD of the correct time. It seems somehow an hour is getting added to an already updated time. The Time settings that I am running are: GMT -5:00 Eeaster Time (US & Canada) -- I'm in South Carolina. Hello, I tried Windows7 today and installed it. With my previous Windows I created a Raid5 set from some of my disks. This set was healthy and OK. So I installed Windows7, when choosing the install disk the setup shows the disks as raid5 volume and detects them. I am not installing to the raid5 I install to a normal sata disk. After installing the Raid 5 is in status "Failed", all disks are marked as failed, but all disks are online active etc. Reactivating the disks doesn't change anything neither I was able to get the Raid5 up. Hello, I use KMS for activating Windows 7 Enterprise on all office PCs and laptops. Everything works good. Now I have a Lenovo laptop with no OS pre-installed and when I try to activate Windows 7 Enterprise via KMS I get 0xC004F035 error message. I have read the article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942962 . I tried to install Windows 7 Professional (GGK) first, succesfully activated it and then reinstalled Windows 7 Enterprise, but got the same error. What OS should I use as "qualifying"? Thank you! Hi all, I am working on Windows service. I have created 2 worker Threads which will get initiated in OnStart method of the Windows service. The service has handled few events Timer Elapsed, NetWorkChanged, OnPowerEvent & it has OnCustomCommand method implemented. All these events and methods are talking with driver. These all events and methods can execute at same time and driver handles one request at a time. There is a chance of occurring a Race condition.
