Hi, Recently I experienced problems with Virus and Spyware Updates with Microsoft Security Essentials. Basically MSE did not update and the Microsoft Update History showed wrong dates (day and month) of MSE updates. While carefully monitoring my windows set up after the winter to summer change of time on weekend of 24-25th March, I realised the date on my Windows system was incorrectly assigned. Entering the correct date into Windows system in the left bottom Date and Time Properties window, did allow MSE updates perform correctly and the whole protection system with MSE is now running smoothly to afford essential protection. My computer has pick up a virus or something. It takes a long time to power up like its doing a full disk check or something. The first time it happened my Security Essentials was turned off so I turned it back on and things went on OK. But sice then my Security Essentials comes on OK but it takes a long time for the computer to come to a ready state. However starting to day after I powered it up my Security Essentials was off and it doesnt turn on. When you turn it on it goes into a wait state and then finally comes back saying that it couldnt turn on and timed out. Can you help. Continue reading...

i am not given the choice to remove google as a search provider in "manage add-ons". if i unchech the box "search in address bar" for google it unchecks for the other search providers. no matter what order i have the providers listed in google comes up by default. help me get rid of ggogle! bld Continue reading...

For a couple of years, users have successfully used "Stored User Names and Passwords" in User Accounts to store server names and corresponding user sign-on credentials. For about the last three weeks, more and more users across the enterprise are beginning to report that after a system reboot, all credentials stored in "Stored User Names and Passwords" have been deleted. These values persist while the user is logged on but after reboot, they are gone. I have recently installed windows7 professional x64. And everything appeared to work well until I've tried to change sharing setting. I open Network and sharing center via contol panel(I've tried to do this by clicking on network icon in taskbar, but when I clicked "open network and sharing center", nothing happened). I have a file on my computer called 4ri3cpttav.exe For some reason, I don't have permission to view, change, or delete it. All of my computer's permissions have been removed and I cannot activate security functions (it says I dont have permission).
