Azure Managed Lustre delivers the time-tested Lustre file system as a first-party managed service on Azure. Long-time users of Lustre on-premises can now leverage the benefits of a complete HPC solution, including compute and high-performance storage, delivered on Azure. There is a known behaviour in Lustre if a VM has the Lustre mounted and it gets evicted or deleted as part of workflow without releasing the filesystem lock. Lustre will keep the lock for next 10 – 15 minutes before it releases. Lustre has a ~10-minute timeout period to release the LOCK. The ability to measure CPU percentage for each active query can be useful to identify an issue, or set up alerting for abnormal usage. Trying to identify the top queries consuming high CPU within SQL is not as simple as viewing a DMV; every active query can be viewed in the dynamic management view sys.dm_exec_requests. This view records the total elapsed time (total_elapsed_time) and the total CPU time (cpu_time). As the name infers, the total elapsed time is the overall duration of the query. On November 27, 2022, the Greenland government made an official announcement about a Daylight-Saving Time (DST) time zone change. The country will not switch to Daylight Saving Time. Instead, Greenland’s standard time will permanently shift to UTC-2, which is the same time that has been observed since March 25, 2023. In 2024, Greenland will resume annual Daylight-Saving Time between March and October by temporarily shifting from UTC-2 to UTC-1. Intellectual property (IP) theft can wreak havoc on the supply chain and defense, stripping away an organization’s, or nation’s, competitive advantage. Hackers don’t necessarily pose the biggest threat to IP. Insider threats from employees, contractors and partners pose just as big a threat (some might argue bigger) from both accidental and deliberate data loss.
