Hello, On my computer I enjoy playing video games now that steam has come out for linux. One game that I don't play much but do enjoy is Octodad. Today, while playing it, I don't know what happened or why, but while switching from fullscreen mode back into windowed mode, my computer completely locked up, no way to go into a tty or kill X with ctrl-alt-backspace or anything like that. So i just got an sd card from the store and i was trying to install raspbian on it, and writing an hybrid image with the "dd" command to it. so it didn't work, i used fedora arm installer to install the system on the sd card. now i want to reformat the sdcard back to 32 gb, PROBLEM !. Running WXP3 that crashed from malware. Was able to re-boot / format using start up disc, then uploaded SP3 from CD but MS Support doesn't allow for recent upgrades through their online service. Instead was redirected to purchase site for W7, but machine (HP Pavilion ze4610us) not compatible... Are there other safe online sites to get upgrades for XP3? I have a Dell 4550 computer and I need to reformat(wipe) the hard drive. Normally, I would put in the Windows XP CD and start the process. I hit F12 and choose boot to CD It completely bypasses the CD and boots to Windows XP. I thought it was an issue with the CD not reading so I got an External CD and hooked it up by USB and it doesn't even recognize it is there. How can I wipe the drive clean so that I can donate the computer? When I try to install the full version of Windows 8.1 Pro on my computer from disk I get two error messages. 1] The procedure entry point " _CxxFrameHandler3 " could not be located in the Dynamic Link Library " msvcrt.dll ". 2] The file " autorun.dll " could not be located or is corrupt. Hello folks I bought my Surface RT in Dec-13, and I started using by Jan-14 end. I am getting this problem of Surface getting restarted frequently to update the Surface RT irrespective of any applications being installed. I have a Windows 8 Toshiba laptop, and for some reason I can't connect to the store. I've tried everything I've read on other posts similar to this one; I've created a new account under a different email, I've switched to a local account, switched back to a Microsoft account, cleared the store cache, restarted, ran the Apps troubleshooter (which claimed to fix the issue but didn't). So in short - my problem is that my user account became invalid and my computer won't let me access my installed programs. Here are the full details: My computer is a homemade machine. I was using my computer as normal when it started going really slow. I decided to turn it off then back on again, then it started going REALLY slow. I would get a black screen for about 10 minutes after the Asus boot up screen, then I would get to the login page. I would log in, then it would go back to being really slow again, to the point of not being able to do anything. I tried turning it off and on countless times. I am using a new Dell inspiron 15R and successfully connected to a wireless router yesterday. Today once I started the laptop it did show the connection but no internet access.
