I have 2 servers (both of them running LINUX redhat OS). Assume that server 1 has to communicate and pass some messages to server 2. These messages could be in simple JSON or XML format. Are there any builtin services available on linux (redhat linux) ie. services available on server 2 which could be used by applications running on server 1 to post messages? Can't change hard drive (only 34G -- old computer) right now so need to create some space. I also have an external drive and have moved everything I can to it. Looking around the folders on the C drive, I have noticed around 600 files under the Windows directory with $UninstallXXXXXX as a title. Also under the Windows directory I have found a folder called Temp. It has around 4G of stuff in it. Can any of this be safely deleted? PC . HP Pavillion bought 2001. Running XP home. About 5 years later sent into PC shop because running very slow. Although I had not requested it,the guy reformatted the HDD and installed Windows Professional. A while later microsoft started windows genuine checks. The PC showed the OS not genuine but by clicking the "resolve later" box life continued as normal. The repair shop had now disappeared so no recourse there. I am setting up a new home network. I have 2 Windows-8 computers and 1 Windows Vista Home computer. All are wireless and connected to my Router & internet. I set up a HomeGroup on my Windows-8 desktop that I intend to use as a server. My Windows-8 laptop joined right in with the HomeGroup password that was generated when I set up the network on the desktop (Windows-8). Now I am trying very unsuccessfully to get my other laptop (Vista Home Edition) to join the network. All I see on the internet is that Vista cannot join Windows-8 on a network. We rarely shut down our computer but Hydro did a shut down for about .5 hr one night a week ago. When our computer rebooted it looks like it has gone to a Default Setting. The Guest option is disabled so we know it's just not as simple as changing user. The problem is we bought our computer from my husband's cousin. He merged some of his files with ours. I'm not sure if that has caused some of this. When we restart it, our account comes up for our login and password, this has not changed, we still need to put in the password, but our desktop goes to the original settings. Let me explain everything as best as I can. I have two devices where I check my Gmail email. My main device is my android device. Where I have a Gmail mobile app linking my accounts. That is not the issues. Its my second device, which is a Microsoft surface rt. I love it. On this I have an pre loaded mobile email app that links all the accounts together. I can get all my email here no problem, with the exception of one Gmail account. On my mobile I get emails but on the tablet I do not. I tried signing in and out. I have a Surface RT (running Windows RT). My Yahoo emails were set up using the default Windows RT mail app. I realized that all my sent Yahoo emails, when sent from Windows RT, would not be shown henceforth on my Yahoo webmail or any other mobile devices.
