HTML Code: I installed the iso file to a U.S.B. stick and booted into the liveCD option. Everything worked. I chose to install the operating system to a SATA hard-drive partition. I opted to install the GRUB boot loader to pclinuxos's root partition as I have a boot loader already in the MBR which boots my current Linux operating system. I couldn't boot, however. I then booted back into the liveCD option to try to install GRUB via the command line. I did: (as root user) Grub find /boot/grub/stage1 root (hd1,7) setup (hd1,7) as the root partition is on sdb8. I am asked to create a new SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 system the same as an existing one. The reason is for sharing the workloads because the existing system is running out of capacity. This new system should be a clone of the existing one. This will give the users the flexibility of running their work on whichever system that has more capacity. (like an Active/Active set up for workload splitting) I have already installed the OS. The next is to create all the users and groups. All our SUSE systems are using LDAP for security. Apple on Friday released iOS 7 version 7.0.6 and iOS 6 version 6.1.6. Both are no available as over-the-air (OTA) downloads. Apple describes the 7.0.6 update thus: "This security update provides a fix for SSL connection verification." Having been aware that Microsoft is no longer supporting XP programmes after the end of March, it has been a concern for some time that we must update soon. We have recently experienced a problem with Yahoo defaulting to combatibility view every time, which disables links and makes downloads awkward. Is this because XP is an old programme? For some reason 1440x900 isn't listed in my suggested screen resolutions, I can't drag it to that through properties. I have a default monitor on Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family. I am running an older Emachinne desktop, with a flat screen Dell Monitor. SP3 is also been added. Everything was running fine until a few weeks ago and then the monitor started flickering and dimming randomly. But i could still start windows and carrying on. I can't connect to any of the xbox live games on my Surface RT any more. I am able to log into xbox live just fine from my PC and xbox consoles, but not the Surface. It tries to log in and then fails. It never queries me to re-enter my user name or PW and I can't find where I could reset that. Any ideas would be appreciated. Continue reading...
