Hi everyone, I'm an old hand at LAMP servers. I maintain a couple both based on CentOS. I am also a license holder of two XenForo sites that are still in development. I currently teach in Texas near Houston. I hope to be moving back to Florida soon. If the move to Florida doesn't come through, I'll be back to Germany working as an Internet Specialist for the US Army. My favorite pass time other than computers is riding bicycles. PS. I just wanted to add that I expect to be working for the Army this summer. The US Government works entirely with MS products. I hope to learn basic Windows Server maintenance skills by the time summer rolls around.

Good day everyone. My name is Jon, i'm 30 years old, and have been working with or playing around with computers since I was 9 (commodore 64). I have many years of call center support (yea I now that's not real tech) but I have been quickly promoted to top tier support at multiple support companies. plz how can i set 2 ips using one nic i went to advanced type the second ip and the mask but didnt work for me.... have i do something else ? must the second ip is in the same range? set something with the router or disable something like dhcp or disconnect one pc from the router and connect it through the switch? help plzzzzzz..... thx

Hi everyone. Thanks for making this forum! I am a student who is trying out webserving for personal use, but hope to grow into doing as a small business eventually. I have had a few sties up for a short time, using WAMP and LAMP, mostly in development. Now I was given a much bigger server (was built to be a server, not a desktop PC) and would really love to try my hand at using Windows Server 2008 Standard, which I'm able to have for a year as a student. I've started reading 'Windows 2008 Server For Dummies' lol and a lot of it goes right by me.
