Hi My name is Dan and I am certainly glad to be here. I only hope I can be of help to others and become a productive part of this community. A little about me: I am a computer nut, I enjoy building/tweaking computers to squeeze a little more out of my investment. I work on computers as a hobby (at home). I am a recycling hobbyist as well.....I try to find a way to recycle EVERYthing. That's all for now...if you want to know more about me, just email me and ask! Thank you for having me here! Dan

Hello, first time post, thanks in advance for any help. Not sure if this qualifies as a Software or Hardware issue? I recently purchased a 1GB Secure Digital Memory Card & a 1GB USB Travel Drive (like a jump drive). I have tried to copy MP3 music files onto both devices but can only copy 384 MB worth of files (106 actual files), if I try to copy another MP3 file (file count # 107) I get the message "Cannot copy (name of file) Directory or File cannot be created". Looking in properties the whole drive space is shown. I have tried formating the Secure Digital card in both FAT and FAT32 formats but no change. I am using Windows XP Pro on my desktop and Window…

HeyHey.... >_> I discovered this forum during my search for a driver for the microtek 3630 scanmaker... unfortunately microtek's site's download link is broken or it could be my connection (highly doubtful...) anyway... Greetings to all of you and hopefully someone might have a copy or perhaps just happen to know the address for one (that works -_-) In addition to microtek's site, I found also driver32 (which uses microtek's home download..) and driverguide.com (which seems to be hosting a currupted driver)

I've just stumbled upon your site in search of a solution, of course, to a computer problem. Maybe someone OUT THERE can help guide me. So...hello. Anyway, I'm a graduate student, and a registered nurse. I'm taking a technical writing class and a Microsoft Word 2003 class on-line. I guess that you can say "I'm always busy learning something new." I enjoy the computer, but it does challenge my knowledge base on a daily basis!! Here's the problem: When I just start my computer, I get an "error message" about programfiles\backweb\backwebclient\6.2.3.66L\programbackweb.dll. I've bought more spyware/adware/etc. programs than I care to admit with the pr…

Hi, all, Just a quick hello from a new member. Recently bought a Dell D-8400, Intel IV 3.0 G, 1 G DDRAM, 160 G Western Digital, with SoundMax, Soundblaster Live 24, DVD, CD-RW, and the ubiquitous ATI Radeon 300 SE/128 mg PCI Express video card. It is the latter item that is quietly driving me insane. This computer should scream from start to finish. I've stripped all background programs and services to the bare bones, via MSConfig, kept the h/d at about 120 Gigs spare room and run defrag, scandisk and diskclean weekly. One would think that a genuine Intel PIV at 3.00 Ghz, with 600 fsb, 1 full Gig of DDRAM and a 128-mg graphics card would keep things moving fai…
