Hello everyone! I hope this will be the place to get an answer. I am very new to the 2008 server family and have run in to an issue while testing a terminal server. The software I am testing is very old. It works fine on 2003 Server Standard. I have 2008 Standard installed. The issue is when I try to run a preset macro within the software (Goldmine 4.0) it does nothing. The software is launched and run from a server still running NT 4.0, no poking fun now... Like I said it works fine in 2003... Thank you in advance for any help with this. -Jesse

I work for a small company that develops and sells a specialized software product. I'm the primarily software developer, but I also have to wear a number of different hats, like maintaining all our equipment. Right now, I'm trying to clone a working Server 2003 using Server 2008.

Hi, I'm Ed. I've recently found myself responsible for server configuration of a Win2008 server (mostly from a DBA perspective). So I did a search, found this forum, and here I am. Voila. I hope to learn a lot here. Thanks! :D

Just installed new Dell 2008 windowsserver to replace Dell 2000 windows server due to end of support life for it and chuch spplications. Went live 11/5/09 with old server still doing domain, dhcp, and terminal server functions (to be migrated). User apps and databases moved.

Hello, my name is Stan and I am probably a bit older than most of the IT people on the forum. I am the IT Manager for a small city in Washington State and have been involved with computers (and other electronics) most of my life. Some of you may have heard of Univac? That is not to say that I know more than any of you. IT is a constantly evolving field and I am always running to catch up and often find myself a bit behind the curve. I spend a good deal of time studying and experimenting. I am using 2008 Enterprise R2 as my desktop OS just so I can learn it top to bottom. I am running the city's virtual servers on Hyper-V server R2, and stumbling my way through the …
